Addressing a media briefing in Colombo on Saturday, the Anti Corruption Front expressed these views on corruption in the country and the controversial Central Bank bond transactions
Keerthi Tennakoon of the ACF noted that day by day new corrupt activities carried out by the government comes to light, and the incidents and activities surrounding Perpetual Treasuries have been discussed for for months while the media too has exposed details pertaining to this to some extent.
“Will there be an investigation regarding this?”charged Tennakoon
He went on to add that this has been a matter that has been presented to the political system, the prime minister, the president and the cabinet of ministers and now it needs to be found as to how the money that was scammed from the country be taken from this individual and given to the public
He further called for a broad public debate regarding the issue
