Perpetual Treasuries Ltd which is in the centre of controversy with regard to the CBSL bond transaction has purchased shares of the National Development Bank or NDB
The purchase is listed in the share ledger of the bank as at October 31, 2016
Perpetual Treasuries has purchased over 6.2 million shares which accounts for 3.77 percent of the total number of shares.
In addition, a company known as Perpetual Equity had also purchased shares of NDB , at a share percentage of 2.4 percent.
Incidentally, the quarterly report of NDB released on June 30, 2016 did not include perpetual treasuries in the top 20 shareholders of the bank.
