President Maithripala Sirisena who participated a ceremony  held in Trincomalee on Friday, October  21, said, the government is dedicated towards the protection and development of Buddhism as mentioned in the constitution.

The President also noted that the preliminary development activities of temples with inadequate facilities will commence in January 2017.
