The world’s oldest living panda in captivity, Jia Jia was euthanized at Hong Kong’s Ocean Park on Sunday.

The 38-year old (about 114 in equivalent human years) was recognized as the world’s oldest giant panda in captivity in 2015 by Guinness World Records

Jia Jia health had been on decline for the past two weeks and her appetite too had followed a decline and rapibdly lost weight.On Sunday, she was unable to walk and spent the day lying down, at which point the park made the decision to put her to sleep.
