Sri Lanka’s Tuskers have reached second place in the Asia Rugby Sevens Standings, after three rounds. The third round of the tournament got underway at the Racecourse grounds in Colombo on Saturday, October 15.
Sri Lanka failed to qualify for the Cup final in the third round, and battled China for third place.
China beat Sri Lanka following a tight contest 22 to 21.
Sri Lanka accordingly emerged 4th in the Colombo round of the tournament. Hong Kong beat South Korea in the Cup final 24 to 19.
At the end of the three rounds, Hong Kong had sealed the series with 38 points on the table while Sri Lanka, who performed better in the previous rounds, were second with 28 points.
