A three-day joint dialogue between youth politicians of Sri Lanka and Finland commenced on Friday.
The event was organised by the One Text Initiative of Sri Lanka and DEMO Finland. The dialogue will focus on strengthening participatory democracy sharing of experiences and international best practices. The Finland delegation includes eight MPS representing the eight political parties in their country.

She added that even though Finland is one of the most equal countries in the world, there is a lot to be done and thus there ongoing discussions about human rights, about equality and democracy – and this is very important
“Its a new hope for politicians and parliamentarians like us” said UNP MP Mayantha Dissanayake who added that the Sri Lankan people love democratic values and the will make the final and right decision in every election.
