Additional compensation amounting to Rs.300 million was presented on Thursday to persons who will be losing property as a result of the expansion of the Low Level Road by four lanes.
Speaking at the event held today October, UNP Parliamentarian S.M. Marikkar responded to a recent statement made by MP Namal Rajapaksa.
UNP MP S.M Marikkar said, there is a local saying that although the mouth lies, the tongue cannot lie.
“I heard Namal Rajapaksa say at a meeting recently that the person at the FCID investigating him, is a bigger rogue than he is. So he accepts that he is a rogue. So what is their message?”, he added.
He went on to note that they are asking the people at the grass roots level to confirm that what they stole should not be investigated and that others should be allowed to steal without investigations and that politicians are rogues, as they come to power to steal and not to work.
