Singer Thilanka Vidusha alias Chillie has been arrested on charges of assaulting an individual.

Police said that he was arrested after he turned himself over to the Thalangama police. He is due to be produced before courts today, October 11.

The alleged assault had taken place on Thursday when the road was blocked owing to an alms-giving in the Vijithapura area in Pelawatta.

The victim of the assault has been identified as a 57-year-old individual. He is currently receivingtreatment at the Thalangama General Hospital.
