The Gammadda 100 day initiative which aspires to uplift the livelihoods of the general public who face numerous difficulties was able to commence two more projects for the welfare of the public today (October 10)
The fishermen of Kaluwankerni, Batticaloa have been battling the darkness of the seas for many years as they do not have a beacon to guide them back home.
Today the Gammadda 100 days initiative was able to provide these fishermen with something countless officials failed to provide, a guiding light.
Yohan Tenakoon of Central Bearings & Machinery (Pvt) Ltd joined hands with the News 1st Gammadda initiative to turn this project into a reality.
The Gammadda initiative also launched a project today to provide clean drinking water to the residents of Idiman in Kinniya.
The National Lotteries board is the benefactor of the project.
