Minister of Foreign Affairs Mangala Sawaraweera, announced the government’s stance with regard to the 19th SAARC Summit with concerns surrounding the recent issues with the region, and the postponed summit.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mangala Samaraweera stressed that the Sri Lankan government did not pull out of the 19th SAARC Summit and at no point decide to boycott the SAARC summit which is to be held in November. And those who raised accusations were either ignorant or has a lack of knowledge of the SAARC Charter, he said.
