A Chinese national has been arrested at the airport by Customs for the alleged possession of 60 kilogrammes of Wallapatta also knows as Agarwood.

Deputy Director of Airport Customs Parakrama Basnayake said that a stock of Garcinia tree barks was also found in the suspect’s possession.

According to custom, the suspect had attempted to smuggle them to China via Hong Kong.
