Another project, to ease burden of the village people commenced on Tuesday under the News 1st Gammadda 100 Days Initiative.
The News 1st team took steps to renovate the community hall which had been used by the locals of Kandakuliya in the Kalpitiya Divisional Secretariat, which had been neglected by the officials for 20 years.
The renovation of this hall officially commenced at the Samudrasanna Viharaya in Kandakuliya under the auspices of officials from the The Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited.
News 1st prepared to renovate this community hall to an even better state and vest it with the people of Kandakuliya.
While undertaking projects to uplift the livelihoods of rural communities across the country, the Gammadda project is also embedding in the people, a sense of community and social responsibility, through the establishment of Gammadda Saviya Community Organisations.
