The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has said that 2200 families are to be relocated from areas found to be prone to landslides.
Director of the the Landslide and Risk Management Unit of the NBRO, R.M.S. Bandara, said that these areas were identified after extensive research that was conducted following the landslides that were experienced in the month of May.
He said that among these areas discovered, the largest number of families were found to be residing in the Kegalle district.
