Hundreds of thousands have taken to the streets of Caracas the Venezuelan capital.
Opposition supporters, staging the largest rally in two years, are asking for President Nicolas Maduro’s removal.
They blame him for Venezuela’s economic crisis as well as accusing the electoral commission of delaying a referendum that could shorten his stay in power.
The president’s supporters also rallied in massive numbers, accusing the opposition of trying to stage a coup.
