The body of person which was recovered along the Mawanella – Hemmathagama road, has been identified as that of the businessman from Bambalapitiya who was abducted on last Monday. The police said that the body was identified by a relative of the businessman.

The Police Crimes Investigations Department and the relative had found the body following a tip off which was received yesterday.

The police said that the wife and the father of the deceased businessman have been called for the magisterial inquiry, which will be conducted on Thursday afternoon.

The businessman has been identified as 29-year-old Shakeeb Suleiman, a father of two.
