Two suspects mining for treasure in the Bopitiya area in Matugama have been arrested.

Police stated that 250 grammes of gun-powder were also found in their possession. The arrested suspects are residents of Dodangoda and Matugama.

The Matugama Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
