A prolonged wait for 24 years has finally come to an end as the hopes of the people of Sinhapura, Welikanda has come to fruition. Foundation stones for two projects, aimed at providing water for the people and students of Sinhapura, Welkikanda were laid on Saturday.

Senior officials of the Capital Maharaja Organisation as well as the Divisional Secretary of Welikanda were present at the inauguration ceremony

One of the water projects will be allocated to provide water for the students of the Sinhapura Pre school while the other will be allocated for the students of the Sinhapura Primary School.

The water projects which will be established at the Sinhapura Gamunu Rajama Viharaya is estimated to provide water for 200 families.The villagers were quick to express their enthusiasm and their gratitude.

An array of issues faced by the people of Sinhaprua were brought to the attention of the News1st team.A number of other projects are being established countrywide, while some others will be vested with the public in the near future.
