The Gammedda 100-Day Initiative was once again able to solve an issue faced by a village in the country that was neglected over a period of time.
On Wednesday, August 17, the Gammadda 100-Days Initiative took measures to solve the drinking water issue of the people living in Ruwanpura , Hatton.
Residents of Ruwanpura are undergoing many hardships to find clean drinking water, while being burdened by many issues including the chronic kidney disease.
The villagers obtain water through pits that have been dug on the ground. The consumption of water from these pits has caused a number of health issues in the village.
Since no one came forward to provide these people with clean drinking water, a project commenced under the Gammedda 100-Days Initiative, to provide a solution to their problem.
The project commenced under the auspices of Group Director of the Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited Chevaan Daniel, Channel Head of News 1st Suranga Senanayake, and Director News 1st Roshan Watawala.
