Eighteen-year-old Australian, Kyle Chalmers managed to upstage world No.1 and teammate Cameron McEvoy to win gold in the 100m freestyle final at the Rio Olympics.

Making his debut in the Olympics ,Kyle was was seventh on the turn and staged a remarkable come-from behind win clocking 47.58 with his trademark style

He is the first Australian to win the blue riband freestyle event at an Olympic Games since Michael Wenden in 1968.

‘It’s awesome. I didn’t have any more to give,’ he said
