Chairman of the Committee on Public Enterprises MP Sunil Handunnetti informed Parliament on Tuesday August 9, that the COPE report on the Central Bank bond transactions will be revealed within the next two weeks. He made the statement while presenting the COPE’s investgative report on 19 state institutions to Parliament.”I make a request to remove the obstructions in the standing orders and immediately create a system where the Working Committee can report its activities to the general public”, said Chairman of COPE MP Sunil Handunnetti
MP Handunnetti stated that most recommendations have not been implemented at cabinet level or at ministries, which according to the MP has hampered the committee’s ability to reach its expected progress on certain institutions.
