The Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party convened at the presidents official residence on Thursday evening.

The central committee meeting that was convened saw the participation of a number of MPs, as well as MPs from the Joint opposition including MP Kumara Welgama

According to our correspondent, the president met with the party organisers of the SLFP before the central committee meeting at the president’s official residence.
