Employees of the Hingurana Sugar Factory together with sugar cane farmers commenced a protest on Monday morning.

The protest was held in front of the Ampara District Secretariat.

The demonstration was staged to voice the objection of the farmers of the sugar Factory in Hingurana over the selling of sugar cane fields.
