A group of Sri Lankans staging a demonstration in Saudi said that officials from the Sri Lankan High Commission in Saudi met with the group and held discussions on the issues that they face.
News 1st previously reported that a group of Sri Lankans employed in Saudi, who have not received their wages for eight months, staged a protest at the gate of the industrial zone in the Saudi city of Alokobar in Dammam.
The relevant officials were notified that the group of Sri Lankans are facing many difficulties including a shortage of food.
Two officials of the Sri Lankan High Commission in Saudi arrived at the location on Monday and held discussions with the group.
However, the protesters note that they will continue to protest until their issues are addressed.
