The Olympic torch completed another week of its scenic tour through Brazil, where it toured the southern, coastal state of Rio Grande do Sul that borders neighbouring Uruguay.
The torch was carried through the cities of Sao Miguel das Missoes, Santo Angelo, Canguçu and Ciudad de Pelotas.
Twelve thousand people in 335 Brazilian cities are expected to carry the torch before the August 5 Opening Ceremony in Rio de Janeiro.
Before finally making it to Rio for the start of the Games, the torch will cross a total of 20,000 kilometres (12,427 miles) of Brazilian territory.
