Ranjan Ramanayake vs Mahindananda Aluthgamage – the clash continues

Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake and MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage expressed views regarding an argument that is said to have taken place between them on Tuesday.

“I was talking to Anura Kumara Dissanayake regarding some information pertaining to Mahindananda Aluthgamage”, said the Deputy Minister of Social Empowerment and  Welfare, Ranjan Ramanayake, who further added that it is at that point that Mahindananda came through the area and said that I am the one is digging up dirt and he accused me of falsely calling him a thief and accused me of staging a drama with one of his relatives. He then scolded me in filth.

UPFA MP Mahindananda Althugamage stated that such an incident did not happen with Ranjan Ramanayake. He stated:

But he convened a media briefing and accused me. And I merely inquired about it in Parliament and an argument took place then

MP Mahindananda Althugamage further charged that if he is trying to act out a character from one of his movies in parliament, then it is a joke.

He added that five minutes after the press briefing, the deputy minister of sports informed the media that the vehicle in question belonged to him and that I was parked opposite his house but this is the act put on by Ranjan Ramanayake, said the MP.

Deputy Minister Ramanayake further noted that when questioned MP Mahindananda had said that he knows the vehicle and that he used it. However he said that he did not murder anyone or burn down houses with it, but the people of this country know who Mahindananda is, and the people also know who Ranjan Ramanayake is .

“MP Ananda Aluthgamage who is his cousin and Asha Aluthgamage, Mahindananda’s wife are the ones who are saying that he is a thief”,  said Deputy Minister Ramanayake

“I sent both Ranjan Ramanayake and Ananda Aluthgamage a letter of demand asking for a compensation worth Rs.500 million each for defamation”, said MP Althugamage.
