The economy of the country and the current political situation were topics of discussion that were tackled during a media briefing organised by the Sri Lanka Freedom party Media briefing held on Thursday June 16.

Minister for Special Assignments Dr. Sarath Amunugama said that they have decided to incorporate several other parties into their alliance.

” The CWC led by Thondaman and the EPDP of Douglas Devananda as well as A.L.M. Attaullah’s National Muslim Congress  – these are breakaway groups. We hope to bring in several other parties and reach an memorandum of understanding and make them a group that will enable them to act as organisers of the United Peoples Freedom Alliance …” added Dr. Sarath Amunugama.
