Army Commander Lieutenant General, Krishantha Silva stated that 80 to 85 percent of the ammunition that was scattered in the area surrounding the Saalawa army camp have been removed.
He added that the remaining ammunition, which is scattered, in the area will be completely removed within the next two days. He went on to note that a programme has been implemented to maintain armouries in keeping with internationally-accepted standards.
