Army Media Spokesperson Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera says that all army personnel assigned to Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s Security detail will be removed today (June 4th)

The Army Media Spokesperson stated that the a number of army personnel assigned to the Former President’s security detail, were removed last evening.

In their place, Officers of the Police Special Task Force and Police officers trained in VIP protection are to be deployed to serve as the Former President’s security detail.
