State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Tore Hattrem arrived in the country today ( May 31st ).
Manager of the Bandaranaike International Airport stated that the State Secretary Tore Hattrem arrived in the island at 8.45 am along with a number of other representatives.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the objective of the visit is to engage in a follow-up to the visit in January this year of the Norwegian Foreign Affairs Minister Borge Brende.
During his visit the Norwegian State Secretary for Foreign Affairs is scheduled to meet Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan, Minister of International Trade Malik Samarawikrama and Minister of City Planning and Water Supply Rauff Hakeem. Tore Hattrem will also meet Mano Tittawella, the Secretary-General of the Secretariat for Coordinating Reconciliation Mechanisms.
