President Maithripala Sirisena arrived in New Delhi, India on Friday concluding his visit to the UK. The President’s Media Division said the president had bilateral discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday evening.
President Maithripala Sirisena is visiting India following an invitation extended by the Indian Prime Minister. The president, who is on a two-day official visit, was welcomed to Indian by a delegation headed by the Indian Minister of State for Defence Rao Inderjit Singh.
Indian Media reported that the Indian Prime Minister will host President Sirisena for a dinner on Friday night. The President will particiapte in Kumbh Mela; a religious ceremony which will be held in Ujjan, In the Indian state of Madheya Pradesh .
The Presidential Media unit said that the President will tour Sanchi as part of his visit in which he will also unveil a monument of Anagarika Dharmapala.
