National Council for Road Safety steps in to reduce three-wheeler accidents

The National Council for Road Safety says that 40% of three wheeler drivers do not have a driving licence.

Chairperson, Dr Sisira Kodagoda stated that the number of accidents involving three-wheelers has increased due to this situation.

He added that there are approximately one million three-wheelers in Sri Lanka. He stated that  a special programme will commence to provide such  drivers of  three-wheelers  with a driving licence.
