The Department of Archaeology has created a new plan to protect and maintain ancient artifacts of Sri Lanka.
Director General, Professor Senarath Dissanayake stated that accordingly, the country will be divided into fourteen areas in order to study the artifacts in depth.
He added that assistant directors will be appointed to each division.
