The opposition alleged  that Premier Wickremesinghe had not provided answers to questions that were raised in Parliament.UPFA MP, Bandula Gunawardena stated that they reached an agreement to make provision for a question per month

Chief Opposition Whip, Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that a decision was reached on of March 5, when a question was directed to the Prime Minister, an answer must be provided before noon on the following Friday.

Explaining further, he added that they are not aware of the decision as they directed two questions which have not been forwarded to the Prime Minister’s Office. The question was the loan amount obtained from the International Monetary Fund and the duration of the loan.

Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe stated that he cannot provide an answer on the matter of another ministry, in 24 hours.

Chief Opposition Whip, Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that it is wrong to provide excuses when a question is raised and an excuse must not be made.

Explaining further, he added that they should not require time to answer. He added that answers should be provided for the loan amount agreed with the IMF, the time duration of it, conditions that were made?

He went on to note that the Prime Minister should provide an answer to this, without consulting anyone else.
