The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Wednesday, May 4. recorded a statement from a Deputy Inspector General of Police over the Wasim Thajudeen homicide.

They also recorded a statement from DIG Motor Traffic Amarasiri Senaratne. The Former Office in Charge of the Narahenpita Police Crimes Division Sumith Champika Perera was previously arrested over the homicide, and is current in remand custody.
