The University Grants Commission says that the entrance manual for those who wish to enter into universities in Sri Lanka, will be released on Sunday, April 24.
Chairman, Professor Mohan de Silva, told News1st that the manual has been formulated in a simple format this year. Twenty seven thousand, two hundred and fifty (27,250) students are estimated to be enrolled into 15 universities, and 18 institutes of higher education.
That is a 10% increase from the previous year. The chairman noted that applications can be handed in by post or online.
Students may utilise school computers or Nenasalas when submitting applications. Explaining further, he noted that steps have been taken to distribute leaflets to the students regarding this. The UGC noted that students who meet the requirements, have three weeks from today to submit their applications.
