Court gave permission on Wednesday for five bank accounts belonging to Parliamentarian Mahindananda Aluthgamage to be inspected.
The Colombo Fort Magistrates Court ordered the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption to submit a report to court after inspecting the said five bank accounts of the parliamentarian.
Colombo Additional Magistrate Mihal Mohammed issued this order, based on a request made by the Bribery Commission to court.
The Voice Against Corruption organisation had filed a complaint with the Bribery Commission regarding this matter.
