Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is due to leave the country on Wednesday for a three-day state visit to China.
The Prime Minister will visit China, for the first time, after the new government was formed, on an invitation extended by the People’s Republic of China.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to meet the President of China Xi Jinping, Prime minister Li Keqiang, and several other public representatives.
The Prime Minister’s Office stated that new agreements on investment and bilateral economic and technological co-operation will be signed during the visit.
