Court grants permission to interrogate foreign nationals in Heroin seizure

Court has granted permission for the fourteen foreign nationals arrested along with 110 kilograms of Heroin off the Southern coast, to be interrogated under detention orders.

The fourteen  foreigners arrested recently include 10 Iranians, two Pakistanis, a Singaporean and an Indian.

The suspects were produced before the Fort Magistrate on Saturday night, where the magistrate granted permission for them to be interrogated under detention orders.

The Police Media Unit said the foreign missions of the suspects’ home countries have been informed of the arrest.
