The National Council for Road Safety has decided to handover a report on the removal of pedestrian crossings from high risk areas in Colombo.

Chairperson, Dr Sisira Kodagoda said that there are currently 55 such pedestrian crossings in Colombo. He said that these pedestrian crossings were identified through a survey, due to the increase in the number of accidents that occur on such crossing lines.
