Several views were expressed on the meeting which has been organised at Hyde Park, Colombo on Thursday by the Joint Opposition.

UPFA Parliamentarian, Mahindananda Aluthgamage stated that their political agenda is against the UNP since the government of PM Wickeremesinghe has “no jobs and development.”

General Secretary of UPFA, Mahinda Amaraweera stated that they will come to a decision after they investigate the meeting which is held tomorrow.He went on to note that every decision made by the SLFP will be done by the party’s Central Committee.

UPFA Parliamentarian, Mahindananda Aluthgamage noted that they just need 24 hours to send the current government packing and questioned on the crime they have committed for taking disciplinary action taken against them for staging a public rally, with the intention of defeating their common enemy.

Leader of the National Unity Front, Azad Sally stated that the people who are attempting to topple the government are being investigated by the FCID.
