FCID launches investigations into two-storey house in Mount Lavinia

Officers of the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division, on Tuesday, March 15,  inspected a two- storey home on Mihindu Mawatha in Mount Lavinia, allegedly belonging to Shiranthi Rajapaksa, wife of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa,

Police Media Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekera stated the inspection was carried out on a court order,  in line with an ongoing investigation.

A hoarding bearing Shiranthi Rajapaksa’s name was witnessed at the residence. According to our reporter, the construction of the house had not been completed.
