Court issued an order for eight Indian nationals who were arrested for not having a visa in their possession to be detained at the Mirihana Detention Camp.
The group are also due to be produced before the Colombo Judicial Medical Officer. A number of stamps suspected to be used for drafting fraudulent documents were also found in their possession.
Police Media Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekara said that the suspects were produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court on Friday, during which the eight Indian nationals were ordered to be detained at the Mirihana Detention camp.
He added that court also ordered that a report on the incident be submitted on March 18.
