A rupture was reported at the Hambantota General Hospital on Sunday night.
The police say that the fire extinguishing units of the Tangalle and Weerawila Air Force were requested to be dispatched to the hospital in case of an emergency.
The rupture was rectified at around 1 a.m. at dawn on Monday, with the assistance of the Tangalle Police and the Tangalle Fire Brigade Units, the fire extinguishing units of the Weerawila Air force and the hospital staff.
No casualties were reported as a result of the rupture.
