A Venezuelan woman who was nabbed at the Bandaranaike International Airport with 87 pills of cocaine in her stomach will be handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau by Sri Lanka Customs.
Customs Media Spokesperson Leslie Gamini said that 66 pills of cocaine have been removed form the stomach of the woman. The 62-year-old woman is being held at the Negombo Hospital under the protection of the Department of Prisons and Customs.
The suspect was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport, upon arrival to Sri Lanka from Brazil with a transit in Dubai.
