A programme, as part of efforts to eradicate the Dengue epidemic prevalent, will commence in ten districts which are deemed as high alert zones, will commence today, Thursday February 11.
Director of the Epidomology Unit of the Ministry of Health Dr. Paba Palihawadana said that the programme will be conducted in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kurunegala, and also Vavuniya, Jaffna, Kegalle, Puttalam, Batticaloa and Ampara Districts.
Eight persons died out of 5000 persons who were diagnosed with Dengue, during the month of January.
