Sumith Lal Mendis was sworn in as a new minister to the Western Provincial Council

Sumith Lal Mendis was sworn in before the President, as the Minister of Health, Indigenous Medicine, Social Welfare, Probationary, Child Protection and Women Affairs of the Western Province

Mendis who is an SLFP Organiser for the Kalutara District, has continuously represented the Western Provincial Council since 1999.
