The inaugural council meeting of the National Reconciliation Services Trade Union was held on Sunday.

Leader of Sri Lanka Muslim Congress, Minister Rauff Hakeem addressing the meeting stated that the standard of the police, who have been vested peace and rule of the country, is declining.

He went on to state however that the police cannot be blamed because they have been trained for police work and not to enter the battlefield, but that they are still dispatched for wars and they have forgotten their actual duties and have “seemingly have lost the plot of police work.”
