Sri Lanka’s all rounder Thisara Perera has decided to retire from Test Cricket.

According to reports he will only retire from Test Cricket but will continue to play ODIs & T20s for Sri Lanka.

An explosive all rounder in both One Day International’s and T20’s, Thisara Perera has played 6 test matches for his country and in ten innings as a batsman, has scored a total of 203 runs with a highest score of 75.

In his 8 test innings as a bowler Thisara has picked up 11 wickets with best bowling figures in an innings of 4 for 63. He made his debut for Sri Lanka in Tests against England in Cardiff in 2011 and played his final test against Pakistan in Pallekele in 2012.

He has not received a place in the test playing eleven since then.
