A car bomb devastated the Police headquarters in South Eastern Turkey leaving 5 people dead and at least 36 injured according to local media.
Rescuers are currently in the process searching through the rubble in Cinar district, Diyarbakir province. Official blame the blast on on Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) militants, who are active in the mainly Kurdish province however no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The bomb was detonated at the entrance of the police building, according to Turkish media say and the blast also damaged nearby residential buildings.The attackers had then reportedly fired rockets at the headquarters. Diyarbakir province has seen violent clashes between PKK separatists and the Turkish army in recent months.
