Four policemen have sustained injuries following an attack in the Embilipitiya Town.

Police said the policemen were attacked when they were trying resolve a conflict took place in a reception hall in Embilipitiya on Jan. 5 morning. Two police Sergeants and two constables sustained injuries and were admitted to the Embilipitiya Hospital along with three civilians.

Five suspects have been taken in to custody over the incident.
